Have been using this for a few weeks now. No problems at all. It does it's job well and at these prices I should really buy another. One minor concern is the dust extractor outlet. It is plastic, like the rest of the body, but does not feel robust enough. Its ok so far, and time will tell I guess. Thanks again to Screwfix for a great value product
A dissapointing start

After 2 &1/2 weeks and around 5 hours use my first sander failed completely, the motor burning out. Store very helpful with immediate exchange, but with a 2 year guarantee expected more.
Good price, Good Product

This item works well, like any sander vibration gets to you, but for DIY does the job. Liked the hole punch for any paper you buy so that the vac will work.

Not disappointed - did the job well. Seems good value to me. Lot easier to use than my Dad's old B&D drill attachment !

I bought this sander as I thought it would be a handy general purpose tool which would help me get my lounge decorated quickly, and it seemed an attractive price against comparable alternatives. It comes in a sturdy case and looks to be good all round, however after using for aprox. 1 minute to sand a filled patch of wall it started jumping and did not run smoothly. I took the bottom plate off and brushed a small amount of dust out of the mechanism and put it back together. It then worked fine while i lightly sanded a door and some skirting. I then put it away until the next day when on attemping to sand another door the motor burned out within the first 30 seconds. Took it straight back to screwfix who were helpful in exchanging for an alternative.
Two failures so far

Good value, lots of features but unreliable. First unit failed after about 10 hours (not all in one go). Tone of motor changed, slowed down, then stopped. Maybe the bearings clogged - but they're advertised as dust sealed. Warranty replacement has now done exactly the same thing after just 5 hours - and this time it was only ever used with vacuum extraction. Note that the replacement Titan 1/3 sander sheets are a few mm short on the base plate which is a pain. I'll switch to another brand.

Bought this because it was cheap after my last sander gave up. I was genuinly surprised by the performance of the budget machine it was 10 times better than my previous sander. It runs nice and quiet. I've given it only 3 stars for reliability though, for two reasons. Firstly, the dust collection thing quite quickly became loose and now falls off every few minutes unless I tape it in place. Secondly, the sander slowed down to a virtual standstill - it turned out to be the lower bearing inside. I took it apart, cleaned and re-lubricated the bearing and it's fine again. To be fair, I'd given it a bit of abuse otherwise I'd have scored it lower on reliability.

This is a great sander and an absolute bargain for the price. Comes with variable speed plus locking button to keep it on without fatiguing fingers! Hook and loop is very sturdy and no slippage, also comes with clips for non-backed papers. Sturdy carry case plus dust extraction and separate vacuum attachment are really handy for keeping the mess to a minimum. Had this running for best part of half a day and no fuss at all. Great grip design for multiple hand placements. All in all a great product.

Don't think Value means cheap but okay for the money - This sander is really good! It comes in a sturdy case with some papers to start you off - also includes a dust capture bag. Sanding is great - didn't realise it had velcro to hold the paper - thought I'd have to clip on and try and get tight. it does clip on too - but velcro paper attachment is great and simple. Sands well - collects dust well, lock on power makes life easier as does the palm grip for extra control and easier to apply pressure. I am impressed!

For the price this is a great sander, my old sander gave up on me so I bought the Titan. It has sanded a whole Pine summerhouse 3m x3m, which was in a state with brown varnish, back to bare wood. It might not be running as smooth as it did to start with but it is still a great sander, and for the price....I would buy another without hessitation.

Really impressed with this all round and shall be looking out for other titan tools in time. There is hardly any dust when using a vacuum so you don't need to cover things up. It's nice and quiet and feels quality when using it. Good case as well!

Found this sander to have loads of power and really liked the small dust bag so you don't have to attach the hoover, the levers for holding normal type sanding sheets are a bit of a problem when trying to sand internal corners but its a nice bit of kit and the price was terrific

A good value sander that is comfortable to use. Love the variable speed, an option only found on much more expensive sanders.

I bought this sander yesterday to sand a bedroom floor. For £20.00 (Well £19.99) it's amazing. Really good value for a quality little workhorse sander, very much worth buying. 2 weeks of sanding by hand was nailed in a day by this little bad boy... Buy it if your looking for a cheap decent sander..

Replacement for my old B & D 1/3 sheet sander and does exactly the job it is designed to do. Renovated wood garden table & chairs to clean untreated surface without any great effort. Bought on a special offer, so great value.

I have had my sander for some time now and I am extremely happy with it's performance. I often use scrap wood from building sites and it takes a lot of sanding to get through the weathering. This sander makes short work of this tough job and makes the "upcycling" of scrap wood easy. A great asset to any workshop.
Bad Luck...???
